Legal and compliance
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Benitez Contractors collects through this website, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. We keep this deliberately short and specific rather than generic, because a policy you cannot read protects nobody.
What we collect
We collect only what you give us and what is needed to operate the site. There is no account system, no login, and no purchase flow on this website.
- Information you submit through the quote or contact form: your name, email address, phone number, city, the service you are interested in, and anything you write in the message field. Budget and timeline are optional.
- Standard server and delivery information, such as your IP address and browser type, processed by our hosting provider to serve the site and protect it from abuse.
- Analytics data, only if you consent. See the cookies section below.
Why we collect it
Form submissions are used for one purpose: to respond to your request and, if you engage us, to carry out the project. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertising networks, and we do not add you to a marketing list without you asking us to.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not set analytics or advertising cookies until you consent. Google Consent Mode defaults are set to denied before any tag loads, and the consent banner only appears after you have scrolled or after a short delay, so it never blocks your first view of a page. Essential storage needed to remember your consent choice is always active, because remembering that you declined is itself necessary.
- Essential: your consent choice, stored locally in your browser. Always active.
- Analytics: aggregate page and event data used to understand which pages are useful. Off unless you accept.
- Marketing: advertising measurement. Off unless you accept.
- You can change or withdraw consent at any time using the Preferences control in the cookie banner.
Who processes your information
We use a small number of service providers, each of which processes data only on our instructions: our website host and content delivery network, our transactional email provider which delivers your form submission to our inbox, and, subject to your consent, our analytics provider. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
How long we keep it
Quote requests are retained for as long as needed to respond and, where a project proceeds, for the period required by California record keeping and warranty obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted when they are no longer useful. Analytics data is retained according to the provider retention setting, which we keep at the shortest practical period.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act gives you rights over the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these, email us or call the number below and we will verify your request before acting on it.
- The right to know what personal information we have collected, used and disclosed.
- The right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal retention obligations.
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the request will always be honored and recorded.
- The right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
Children
This site is intended for adults arranging construction work on property they own or manage. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
We will update this page if our practices change, and the date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
